We are beyond excited to announce that David Perry, fondly known as "Peaches" around the Australian disc golf scene, is officially joining the Disc Golf Warehouse team for 2026.

If you've followed local disc golf over the past few years, you'll know DP. He has our favourite backhand form in all of Australian disc golf and we couldn't be more proud to be supporting his journey.

The timing couldn't be better either. Dave is flying out to New Zealand on Monday for the Tour Down Under, where he'll be competing at the Discraft Australasian Open (January 16-18 in Taupo) and the New Zealand Disc Golf Open (January 24-26 in Auckland).

The Victorian native has had a stellar run over the past few seasons. At the 2024 Australian Disc Golf Championships in Molong, NSW, Dave battled down the stretch to take the win from top Canadian pro Thomas Gilbert and claim the title of 2024 Australian Disc Golf Champion. He backed that up with another Aussie major title at the Queensland Open in 2025 and a podium finish at the 2025 Australian Disc Golf Championships in Mundaring against Australia's hottest young disc golf talent.

Dave represented Australia at the WFDF World Team Disc Golf Championships in Croatia in 2022, and again in Perth in 2024 where the Australian team claimed an incredible silver medal. He'll be pulling on the green and gold again later this year when the team heads to Lithuania for the 2026 World Teams.

In October 2025, he achieved a career high rating of 1016, which was the highest of any Australian at the time. He predominantly throws Innova and got a taste of the big stage when he competed at the PDGA Champions Cup in the United States last year.

We Hit Dave Up With a Few Questions

What are you most excited about for the 2026 season?

"Going into 2026 I am hoping to continue to grow my experience and presence at major tournaments, both on national and international stages. Having this new partnership with Disc Golf Warehouse, I am excited to collaborate with them to build both of our brands and help spread the growth of the sport across the country through my competitive play, social media, and coaching."

What does it mean to you to be heading back to World Teams in Lithuania after the silver medal run in Perth?

"This year in Lithuania will be my third time competing in the WTDGC, but I feel just as excited as the first time I got invited. Playing in the gold medal match in 2024 against Estonia is perhaps the most fun I have ever had playing this sport, and a memory I won't soon forget. The success over our last two runs at this event show that Australia has set itself apart in both preparation and team management, and looking at our team this year, I think we can do some serious damage."

What are you most looking forward to heading over to NZ for the Tour Down Under?

"I'm looking forward to playing a couple of the courses in New Zealand. I've heard many great things about Taupo and the Orchard so I'm keen to see them and play them for myself. Also, while we have a growing number of high-calibre players in Australia, these Tour Down Under events will be a great opportunity to test my throwing against some top-level international players."

He's not the only new face joining Disc Golf Warehouse in 2026. We're also excited to welcome Mikey Hare and Caelan Haramis to the team. Caelan is fresh off his MA1 win at the 2025 Australian Disc Golf Championships in Mundaring, which is a massive achievement that earned him his spot. Both Mikey and Caelan will be heading over to New Zealand alongside Dave for the Tour Down Under, so we'll have three DGW team players in the mix.

We're pumped to have Dave representing DGW and can't wait to see him tear it up in 2026. If you see him on the course, give him a fist pump. You can follow Dave's journey on Instagram @dpfrisbee.

Go get 'em, Peaches. 🥏
