What is Disc Golf?

Disc golf is just like golf but with flying discs instead of balls and clubs. The goal is simple: throw your disc from the tee and try to land it in a metal basket in as few throws as possible.

✅ No green fees
✅ Played in free public parks
✅ Great for all ages and fitness levels

It's fun, social, and you don't need to be an athlete to enjoy it. Just grab a starter set and head to your local course.

What's in a Starter Set?

Every DGW starter set includes the three core discs you need to play a full round:

Driver – for long-distance tee throws
Midrange – for control and approach shots
Putter – for accuracy around the basket

They're all beginner-friendly, carefully selected for straight flight and easy control.

Who Can Play?

Disc golf is for everyone. Whether you're 8 or 80, athletic or brand new to sport — you can play at your own pace.

It's perfect for families, mates catching up, or even solo sessions for some fresh air.

You don't need lessons, fancy gear, or expensive memberships to get started. Just grab a disc and head to a course.

Still Have Questions?

We get this question a lot, so here's a quick guide:

If you're unsure, reach out. We're happy to recommend the right one for you or your family.

We've carefully curated each starter set to suit different needs and budgets.

Some sets include premium plastic for better durability, some come with a carry bag for convenience, and some are simply unbeatable value for beginners getting their first taste of the sport.

Each set page has detailed info about what's included and who it's best suited for. If you're still unsure which one's right for you, just reach out — we're happy to help you choose!

Disc golf discs come in different plastic types, and they can affect grip, durability, and how a disc flies.

If you're just getting started, you'll probably want a plastic that feels grippy and easy to control — not too stiff or slick.

The good news? All our starter sets use beginner-friendly plastics that are perfect for learning. You'll naturally develop preferences as you play more, but these will get you off to a great start.

Yes! Every disc in our starter sets is hand-picked with new players in mind.

They're easier to control, more forgiving on misthrows, and designed to help you get the hang of throwing faster. If you can throw a frisbee, you're already halfway there.

Nope — just some discs and a place to throw!

Some sets come with a small bag for convenience, but you can start playing right away without any extras. As you play more, you might want a towel, mini marker, or extra discs, but they're not essential.

Not at all. One of the best things about disc golf is how easy it is to pick up and play.

You don't need lessons or sporting experience — just a bit of space and some curiosity. Your throw might not be perfect on day one, but you'll improve each time you play.

We ship from our warehouse in Perth. You can expect:

  • Express: 3–4 business days
  • Standard: 5–8 business days

You'll get tracking info as soon as it leaves our hands.

No worries at all. We're here to help!

If you need advice, want help with your first round, or just have questions about your discs, reach out anytime. We're real people who love the sport and are happy to chat.

Yes you can!

In fact, disc golf started before baskets even existed — players would aim for trees, poles, or other objects in a game known as "object golf."

If you don't have a course close by, you can set up your own in a local park, backyard, or open field. Use trees, bins, or marked targets as baskets. It's a great way to build confidence and have fun until you can make a trip to a proper course.

Plenty of players started just like that!
