The Spell is Gateway’s longest flying disc to date. At 12 | 5 | 0 | 3 it has the performance needed to handle a maximum velocity throw of even the top tour level player.
Our team is loving its resistance to turn and long glide paired with a consistent fade. Now available all the way down to 160g in premium plastic.

DIAMOND |
Diamond is a high-grade material providing the best durability and grip of any discs on the market. These discs are typically more stable than Platinum but less stable than Hyper DIAMOND and Nylon. |
HYPER DIAMOND |
Hyper Diamond includes fiberglass to reduce shrink and provide extra toughness. This creates discs that are flat, which are great for side-arm shots and lower trajectory drives. |
DIAMOND GLOW |
Our Superglow discs include Strontium, which produces the longest-lasting and brightest glow of any discs on the market. |
PLATINUM & COBALT |
Platinum and Cobalt blends produce discs with slightly more dome than Diamond and excellent grip. The dome provides more lift which greatly increases glide. Cobalt blends are firmer and have a bit more dome than Platinum. |
SUPER SOFT |
SUPER SOFT (or SS) putt & approach discs are slightly stiff in the rim and pliable in the flight plate. These discs cover a wide range of putting styles and are still firm enough to be used for driving and lay-up shots. |
SUPER STUPID SOFT |
SUPER STUPID SOFT (or SSS) putt & approach discs are flexible in both the rim and flight plate. This is perfect for spin putters where thumb pressure is applied to the flight plate. |
SUPER STUPID SILLY SOFT |
SSSS putters are as flexible as a disc can be made. These are popular with newer players who enjoy the grip in the chains. They also sit well on lay-up shots and have excellent grip in cold and wet. |
PURE WHITE |
The Pure White (W) blends are created by using a talc filled popypropelene which reduces shrinkage to produce a flatter, lower profile driving putter. This blend is firm on the rim for durability and grippy on the surface. The PW runs are mostly on the stiffer side are are slightly more over stable. Pure White discs are ideal for driving putters. They are firm on the rim, grippy on the surface, flatter and slightly more stable than most blends. |
FIRM |
Our Firm putt & approach discs have a firm rim with a slight flex in the flight plate. These are typically used as driving and lay-up putters, and are preferred by players who use a pendulum style or a push putt. They also hold up very well on wooded courses and do not get too flexible in warm temperatures. |
LUNAR |
Lunar discs are very flexible with a great grip for putting, especially in cool or rainy weather. |
HEMP |
Hemp blends come in SureGrip and DIAMOND. Diamond Hemp discs are slightly firmer in the rim but the flight plate remains pliable. Hemp increases structural stability and produces a grittier surface that feels great especially in wet conditions. |
MONEY ($) |
The money blend of putt and approach discs are marked with a $ and can range from 2S to 4S. This blend is quite different from our regular suregrip blends as we use a very flexible elastomer which causes the discs to look shiny on the surface and become very gummy with use. The $ blend is great for wet conditions. Money is created by adding 10-15% of a TPOE (thermal plastic olefin elastomer) to the mix, since it melts at a lower temp it migrates to the surface, so even the firm glow ( money) will get that tacky feeling with use. The Money blend of putt & approach discs are in between SS and SSS in flex. These discs have a shine on the surface, and become more gummy with use. These are great for wet conditions. |
NYLON |
Nylon blends are super tough for long-lasting dependable performance. The stability is in between DIAMOND and Hyper DIAMOND. |
ERASER |
The Eraser blend is a special mix of polymers that creates an “Eraser-like” grip on the surface of the disc. |
SPECIAL BLEND (SB) |
We often sample materials that are sent to us by suppliers that are either entirely new components or additives to our existing blends. We started labeling special blends after several years of running them with the first being SB-6 and are now up to SB-30. These prototype batches range in quantities from 60 to 300 discs. Unfortunately it’s not always possible to recreate the runs due to their experimental nature. The current blend of SB-30 is something we can recreate and could end up becoming the final Special Blend. |
SUPERGLOW |
The Superglow blends are made using the element strontium which produces the longest lasting brightest glow on the market. We use a heavy loading of the glow to assure our discs glow the best. Most runs of Superglow putters over the years fall between F and SS. More flexible runs are now being marked with accurate flex. |
