Disc Golf in Perth
Whether you grew up throwing on these courses or you're only just discovering Perth has a disc golf scene, you're in the right place.
Disc Golf Warehouse is based right here in Perth, and it's still where we play most of our rounds. From the courses to the community to the players we back, this is our home turf.
Get Out ThereWhere to Play
Perth's disc golf scene has grown fast, from compact 9 hole park courses tucked into the suburbs to the full 18 hole layout at Mundaring in the Perth Hills. Ahead of the WFDF World Team Disc Golf Championships being held in Perth in 2024, Mundaring opened a fifth layout on the property, making it one of the premier disc golf destinations in the country.
The Oldest Course in WA
Rob Hancock Memorial is the oldest course in WA and the second oldest in Australia. One of our favourite bits of course history: it didn't start with baskets. The original layout used big trees as targets, which is why so many of the baskets today are still planted right next to mature trees, a leftover from the days when you were aiming for the trunk instead of the chains.
We've put together a full breakdown of every course in WA, from the metro area out to the southwest and the Pilbara.
CommunityFind Your People
Disc golf is better with company, and Perth's got a genuinely welcoming scene around it. For a casual round, there's the Freo Social on Wednesdays (the Freo Disc Golf Facebook group is the best way to keep up with times) and Flex Night at Alexander Heights on Thursdays, plus general WA disc golf goings-on, through the WA Disc Golf Collective Facebook group. For something more structured, there are monthly league days at Spearwood, Rob Hancock Memorial and Mundaring.
We're proud supporters of Perth Disc Golf Club, WA's oldest and longest running club, and we back Mundaring Disc Golf Club and the Sunset Coast Disc Golf Club from time to time too.
We've mapped out the clubs across the state so you can find your nearest one.
Sponsored PlayersTeam DGW in the West
Paul Noesen and Patrick Willson are two of our WA based sponsored players, both of whom have represented Australia at international team events like the WFDF World Team Disc Golf Championships. On top of that, they're both active tournament directors, running events across WA and helping grow the sport here.
Joey Darbyshire is another key part of the WA scene we're proud to support. He's one of the driving forces behind the Freo Social today, a torch he picked up after Sean built it from scratch, and he stays busy directing tournaments across the state.
We've got sponsored players and clubs we back right across the country, but this is where a good chunk of the team actually throws.
